Key Provincial Updates and Resources for Health Professionals

Today the Ontario government announced it is expanding virtual mental health services to help thousands of Ontarians experiencing anxiety and depression, including frontline health care workers, during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The Ministry has updated the Home and Community Care Guidance Document with updated screening procedures and masking recommendations for care providers.

A new Residential Hospice Guidance Document has been created directed at palliative and end-of-life care provided in residential hospice settings.

Today, the Federal government announced a $252M aid package for farmers and food processors.

Daily Reports

As of 10:30AM today, Ontario reported 18,310 confirmed cases (increase of 387), 12,779 resolved cases, 1,361 deaths and 6,023 currently under investigation with lab results pending.

The Ministry is also reporting that 1,043 patients are hospitalized with COVID-19, 223 are in ICU and 166 are vented. To view these additional details: click here
