Key Provincial Updates and Resources for Health Professionals Today, the Ontario Government announced additional support for vulnerable Ontarians including seniors and persons with disabilities. The province is investing $11 million to help deliver meals, medicines and other essentials to those in need and doubling the Guaranteed Annual Income System (GAINS) payments.
The Ministry has developed guidance for community
emergency evacuations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please share this guidance with any partners who may be involved in the potential evacuations of First Nations communities due to Spring flooding this year.
Key Federal Updates Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced $350 million to support vulnerable Canadians through charities and non-profit organizations that deliver essential services to those in need. For more information, we encourage you to visit theGovernment of Canada website.
Daily Reports As of 10:30AM today, Ontario reported 11,735 confirmed cases (increase of 551), 5,806 resolved cases, 622 deaths and 5,546 currently under
investigation with lab results pending.
