Member Update:
COVID-19 Situation- April 22nd
Dear ,

Thank you to everyone who joined us for last night's Facebook Live session. We appreciated your engagement and your great questions. If you missed it, you can watch the replay here.

As a follow up on some of your questions, we wanted to re-circulate some key documents that are relavant for RPNs:

What PPE should be worn by nurses in different practice settings? General guidance can be found in Directive 1, guidance for LTC in Directive 3 and guidance for hospitals in Directive 5. The Government also issued Guidance on Mask Use in LTC and Retirement Homes. Note that all the Directives and guidance are available on our website here.

Please also review our Free Webinar on Proper Donning and Doffing of PPE and share with any colleagues who could benefit.

We also received questions about the Emergency Orders and redeployment of staff. Here are the Emergency Orders limiting staff in LTC and Retirement Homes. Right now, it appears agency staff are exempt from this but we're following up with the government to get further clarification on this as well as guidance for nurses in home and community care. Also, here is a memo from the Government regarding deploying staff from Hospital to LTC.
