Leadership 2: Influencing Change in Healthcare: This course provides learners with tools so that you are able to influence the decisions and policies that are most important to nurses and the people you care for.
Leadership 3: Championing Patient Centered Care: This course helps RPNs gain a critical examination on the role of practical nurses in patient centered care at the system and individual level.

Key Provincial Updates and Resources for Health Professionals Today, the government announced it will be providing $37 million to help more than 15,000 people train for new jobs and upgrade their skills to enable them to contribute to the province's economic recovery. The funding will support 86 projects and provide training in high-demand skills like
information technology, advanced manufacturing, truck driving, construction, and horticulture. The programs include internships and other hands-on learning experiences, and in most cases, the training is provided at no charge.
The government also announced that Ontario
Premier Doug Ford and Québec Premier François Legault will convene their first-ever Ontario-Québec Summit to advance shared priorities on economic recovery and health preparedness, issues important to the people of the two provinces. The summit will take place on September 8 and September 9, 2020 in Mississauga.
Yesterday, Premier Doug Ford announced a partnership between the Government of Ontario and public transit operators across the province to ensure riders and public transit workers can safely and confidently take public transit. Premier Ford also confirmed the government has provided health and safety guidance documents to transit operators and passengers, developed in consultation with public health and transit experts, and will allocate $15 million to municipalities to support enhanced cleaning of their transit systems as the province re-opens and Ontarians return to work and school. Key Federal Updates
Today, the Federal government announced over 1,000 new projects delivered by community organizations across the country to support seniors during the COVID-19 pandemic. These projects are funded through an investment of $20 million in funding through the New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP).
The government
also announced that the COVID notification app is now available in Newfoundland and Labrador.

As of 10:30AM today, Ontario reported 42,686 confirmed cases (increase of 132), 38,625 resolved cases, 2,812 deaths and 22,769 currently under investigation with lab results pending.
The Ministry is also reporting that 60 patients are hospitalized with COVID-19, 12 are in ICU and 9 are vented. To view these additional details: click here
