Member Update:
COVID-19 Situation- June 5th
Dear ,

As we head into the weekend, we want to recirculate some activities to support nursing self care:

If you're feeling overwhelmed, get extra support. Big White Wall– in partnership with Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) - is a provincially funded, safe, online peer-to-peer mental health community that is free and accessible to all health care workers.

Wishing you a great weekend!

Resumption of Health Services
The Government's updated Directive #2 offers guidance to health care providers on the resumption of non-essential health services, along with the supplemental document, Operational Requirements for Health Sector Restart. We encourage foot care nurses and other nurses in independent practice to refer to these documents to guide your practice as you consider resuming services.

Key Provincial Updates and Resources for Health Professionals
During his daily press conference, Premier Ford mentioned the government would be releasing plans for Stage 2 of reopening early next week.

The Ontario government has appointed Dr. Jane Philpott as the special advisor to support the design and implementation of the new Ontario Health Data Platform (formerly known as PANTHR). This data platform will provide recognized researchers and health system partners with access to anonymized health data that will allow them to better detect, plan, and respond to COVID-19. As well, this platform will support projects from the Ontario COVID-19 Rapid Research Fund.
