Resumption of Health Services The Government's updated Directive #2 offers guidance to health care providers on the resumption of non-essential health services, along with the
supplemental document, Operational Requirements for Health Sector Restart. We encourage foot care nurses and other nurses in independent practice to refer to these documents to guide your practice as you consider resuming services.
Key Provincial Updates and Resources for Health Professionals Today, the Ontario government announced the Premier's Council on Equality of Opportunity, a new advisory group that will provide advice on how young people can overcome social and economic barriers and achieve success. The council will also advise government on long-term actions that can be taken to support youth during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Key Federal Updates The Prime Minister announced that seniors eligible for the Old Age Security (OAS) pension and the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) will receive their special one-time, tax-free payment during the week
of July 6. Together with other measures, the government is providing nearly $900 more for single seniors and more than $1,500 for senior couples, on top of their existing benefits, to help these vulnerable Canadians with extra costs during the pandemic.

As of 10:30AM today, Ontario reported 29,403confirmed cases (increase of 356), 23,208 resolved cases, 2,357 deaths and 12,760currently under investigation with lab results pending.
